This classically dry Riesling reflects the precise work of the Moselle winery Albert Christmann. The Idig vineyard near Ediger-Eller is considered an exclusive area of the estate and is located on extremely steep south-facing slopes, characterized by blue-grey Devonian slate. This special soil composition ensures an unmistakable, elegant minerality and highly precise acidity. The selected 2016 vintage quickly became a reference year for the region, delivering concentrated fruit with balanced ripeness. In the glass, the wine initially appears closed but then unfolds into clear notes of green apricot, citrus zest, and fine salt. The structure is compact and rich, yet remains very elegant due to its harmonious acidity. A long finish emphasizes the purest slate crystallization, typical for high-quality Grosses Gewächs products from this region.
The barrel has already reached its optimal drinking maturity and can be safely kept for several more years, with complex maturation aromas intensifying parallel to natural aging. For pairing with food, focus on lightly roasted meat dishes, marine fish products, or aged Alpine cheeses. Vegetarian options with dried herbs or wild mushrooms also perfectly highlight the structuring acidity. A wine that combines tradition, precise winemaking, and genuine aging potential.

Shipping information
Unless otherwise stated, we ship our wines via UPS. Standard delivery time is approximately 2-3 business days within Germany and approximately 3-5 business days within the EU.
We pack the wines in UPS-licensed shipping boxes according to UPS packaging specifications.
Please note that in extreme temperatures that could affect the quality of the wine, we will only ship it upon your express request. Otherwise, we will store your purchased wines free of charge until safe shipment is possible.
Returns & Revocation
Of course, we accept returns within the scope of legal regulations. Provided the goods are in exactly the same condition as purchased, we will refund the full purchase price, excluding shipping costs, if returned within 14 days of receipt.
You must organize the return shipment yourself and also cover the return shipping costs and adequate shipping insurance.
