Algodon Wine Estates Malbec 2008 brings a matured vintage from Algodon Wine Estates' portfolio to the glass. The Malbec is ideal for wine lovers who are specifically looking for an older red wine and want to add more depth to a special meal. As a 2008 vintage, it offers a distinctive character that sets it apart from younger bottlings of the same grape variety.

Serve this red wine with hearty dishes such as beef steak, braised beef, or lamb. It is also a harmonious choice with spicy dishes with dark sauces. Ideally, open the bottle quietly before the meal and give the wine time in the glass so that its matured vintage can properly express itself. This makes the Algodon Wine Estates Malbec 2008 particularly well-suited for a festive dinner where the wine is consciously enjoyed in small sips.

LIFE BEFORE...

Where possible, and especially with larger wine cellar purchases, the wine cellars of the previous owners tell us a lot about the storage conditions of the wines. A professionally managed wine cellar usually guarantees perfect storage conditions for the wines. We acquire our wines exclusively from reputable, mostly private wine collectors.

HIDDEN FEATURES

Many high-quality wines today feature various security features for authentication, such as markings that only become visible under UV light. We check and compare all purchased wines for these features using an extensive database, and if there is even the slightest doubt, we reject the wine.

THE DETAILS MATTER

We examine wine labels under a microscope to determine their quality, and we check the printed image for any peculiarities that are typical for a particular winery, wine, or vintage. We draw on a large image database to identify any anomalies.

COLOR MAKES THE DIFFERENCE

Last but not least, we also examine the wine's composition. Color, turbidity, sediment, and the bubbles in a champagne reveal a lot about the wine's or champagne's condition and potential drinking pleasure.
