Andre Clouet Champagne Un Jour de 1911... Brut is a Brut champagne that impresses with clear freshness and precise structure. The product refers to a special benchmark from Andre Clouet, whose style is characterized by fine minerality, a delicate expression of freshness, and an elegant balance between fruit and yeast. The name Un Jour de 1911... suggests a historical allusion that makes this champagne experience unique and appeals to collectors and connoisseurs alike. This cuvée is aimed at lovers of a sophisticated, not overly opulent Brut, where every sip is perceived as a precisely staged snapshot.

During tasting, the champagne presents itself with fine perlage and a refreshing structure. The nose is reminiscent of fresh citrus notes, light brioche and yeast tones, along with a subtle minerality that keeps the finish clean. The wine remains dry, balanced, and has a pleasant length, making it a good accompaniment to a range of light dishes.

The optimal drinking window depends on the vintage and cannot be determined without a specific indication. Food pairing: An ideal accompaniment to oysters, seafood, white fish, and fine cheese – especially suitable when dishes seek an elegant, not overly dominant accompaniment.

LIFE BEFORE...

Where possible, and especially with larger wine cellar purchases, the wine cellars of the previous owners tell us a lot about the storage conditions of the wines. A professionally managed wine cellar usually guarantees perfect storage conditions for the wines. We acquire our wines exclusively from reputable, mostly private wine collectors.

HIDDEN FEATURES

Many high-quality wines today feature various security features for authentication, such as markings that only become visible under UV light. We check and compare all purchased wines for these features using an extensive database, and if there is even the slightest doubt, we reject the wine.

THE DETAILS MATTER

We examine wine labels under a microscope to determine their quality, and we check the printed image for any peculiarities that are typical for a particular winery, wine, or vintage. We draw on a large image database to identify any anomalies.

COLOR MAKES THE DIFFERENCE

Last but not least, we also examine the wine's composition. Color, turbidity, sediment, and the bubbles in a champagne reveal a lot about the wine's or champagne's condition and potential drinking pleasure.
