Caparzo Brunello di Montalcino 2015 impresses with the typical structure of Brunello from the Montalcino region. The 2015 vintage shows a balance between depth and freshness, supported by ripe fruit aromas and fine spice. The wine appears compact but never heavy, with an elegant acidity that gives it freshness.

On the nose, red fruits unfold, accompanied by subtle spicy notes and a mineral nuance. On the palate, it presents well-integrated tannins, a powerful but balanced structure, and a long, fine finish. Caparzo Brunello is a wine that benefits from patience and later drinking maturity, but also already brings pleasure now when paired with passionate dishes.

Optimal drinking maturity: Now until probably 2030–2035, provided the wine has been stored under suitable conditions. Food pairing recommendation: excellent with roasted lamb, game dishes, truffle risotto, or aged cheese.

LIFE BEFORE...

Where possible, and especially with larger wine cellar purchases, the wine cellars of the previous owners tell us a lot about the storage conditions of the wines. A professionally managed wine cellar usually guarantees perfect storage conditions for the wines. We acquire our wines exclusively from reputable, mostly private wine collectors.

HIDDEN FEATURES

Many high-quality wines today feature various security features for authentication, such as markings that only become visible under UV light. We check and compare all purchased wines for these features using an extensive database, and if there is even the slightest doubt, we reject the wine.

THE DETAILS MATTER

We examine wine labels under a microscope to determine their quality, and we check the printed image for any peculiarities that are typical for a particular winery, wine, or vintage. We draw on a large image database to identify any anomalies.

COLOR MAKES THE DIFFERENCE

Last but not least, we also examine the wine's composition. Color, turbidity, sediment, and the bubbles in a champagne reveal a lot about the wine's or champagne's condition and potential drinking pleasure.
