Château Canon-La-Gaffelière 2019 brings the elegant, multifaceted side of Saint-Émilion to the glass. The estate is one of Saint-Émilion’s classified Grand Crus and is run by Stéphane von Neipperg. The 2019 vintage combines ripe fruit with the cool precision of its limestone- and clay-rich soils. Merlot gives the red wine its fullness, while Cabernet Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon contribute spice, structure and length.
On tasting, it reveals a concentrated bouquet of black cherries, plums and blackberries. Notes of violets, graphite, fine herbs and subtle cedarwood follow. On the palate, the red wine is juicy and velvety, with precise fruit, well-integrated tannins and a pronounced mineral freshness. Renowned international critics rate the vintage as particularly successful. Its balance makes it approachable already, while its firm structure promises further aging potential.
When stored in a cool, dark place, its ideal drinking window is approximately 2025 to 2040. Feel free to open the bottle one to two hours before serving or carefully decant the red wine. It pairs beautifully with beef fillet, braised leg of lamb and entrecôte. It also makes a stylish impression alongside an aromatic mushroom pan, aged hard cheese or festive dishes with truffles.

Shipping information
Unless otherwise specified, we ship our wines via UPS. Standard delivery time is approximately 5–8 business days within Germany and approximately 5–10 business days within the EU.
For logistical reasons, we ship once a week, on Tuesdays.
We pack the wines in UPS-certified shipping cartons in accordance with UPS packaging guidelines.
Please note that in the event of extreme temperatures that could compromise wine quality, we will only ship the wines at your express request; otherwise, we will store your purchased wines free of charge until safe shipping is possible.
Returns & Revocation
Of course, we accept returns within the scope of legal regulations. Provided the goods are in exactly the same condition as purchased, we will refund the full purchase price, excluding shipping costs, if returned within 14 days of receipt.
You must organize the return shipment yourself and also cover the return shipping costs and adequate shipping insurance.
