Chateau Certan De May de Certan - Pomerol 2016 represents the second creation from one of the leading addresses in the heart of the Côte de Pomerol. Under the direction of the Thienpont family, this second wine characteristically combines a focus on Merlot with precise oak treatment. The unusually dry and warm spring of 2016 allowed for perfect grape ripeness, which is why the cuvée shows remarkable density despite its younger age, while maintaining the typical delicacy of the appellation.
When tasted, ripe Morello cherries and blackcurrants unfold alongside earthy undertones of damp leaves, tobacco, and a subtle chocolate vein. The tannins are finely woven, lending a balanced architecture to the overall structure and guaranteeing a harmonious mouthfeel. Experts attest to the 2016 vintage's high aging potential; the ideal drinking window is between 2023 and 2038, when the secondary aromas have fully integrated.
To complement, rich meat dishes such as beef fillet au Paysan or wild-marinated venison roast are excellent pairings. Roasted root vegetable mousseline or aged mountain cheeses also emphasize the spicy nuances without overpowering the elegant fruitiness.

We pack the wines in UPS-licensed shipping boxes according to UPS packaging specifications.
Please note that in extreme temperatures that could affect the quality of the wine, we will only ship it upon your express request. Otherwise, we will store your purchased wines free of charge until safe shipment is possible.
Returns & Revocation
Of course, we accept returns within the scope of legal regulations. Provided the goods are in exactly the same condition as purchased, we will refund the full purchase price, excluding shipping costs, if returned within 14 days of receipt.
You must organize the return shipment yourself and also cover the return shipping costs and adequate shipping insurance.
