Chateau Jean Faure 2009 is a Saint-Emilion Grand Cru from one of the most significant vintages of the past decades. Château Jean Faure cultivates its vineyards on the finest sites of the Right Bank of the Garonne, relying on meticulous grape selection and traditional winemaking methods. The 2009 vintage is considered exceptional: optimal climatic conditions led to fully ripe, concentrated grapes with a pronounced structure.

The wine captivates with its deep ruby-red color and a bouquet of dark fruits, plum jam, and fine woody notes. On the palate, it reveals a voluminous, elegantly structured red wine with soft tannins and good acidity. The wine's Merlot base gives it characteristic warmth and velvetiness, while the Cabernet components provide complexity and aging potential. The finish is long and persistent with subtle herbal notes.

The 2009 vintage has developed optimally and is currently in its drinking window, but can continue to age for another five to ten years. This elegant Saint-Emilion pairs excellently with classic dishes such as braised beef, lamb, or mature cheeses, and also harmonizes with hearty game dishes and Mediterranean meat preparations.

    LIFE BEFORE...

Where possible, and especially with larger wine cellar purchases, the wine cellars of the previous owners tell us a lot about the storage conditions of the wines. A professionally managed wine cellar usually guarantees perfect storage conditions for the wines. We acquire our wines exclusively from reputable, mostly private wine collectors.

    HIDDEN FEATURES

Many high-quality wines today feature various security features for authentication, such as markings that only become visible under UV light. We check and compare all purchased wines for these features using an extensive database, and if there is even the slightest doubt, we reject the wine.

    THE DETAILS MATTER

We examine wine labels under a microscope to determine their quality, and we check the printed image for any peculiarities that are typical for a particular winery, wine, or vintage. We draw on a large image database to identify any anomalies.

    COLOR MAKES THE DIFFERENCE

Last but not least, we also examine the wine's composition. Color, turbidity, sediment, and the bubbles in a champagne reveal a lot about the wine's or champagne's condition and potential drinking pleasure.
