Château La Croix 2015 combines the elegant structure of Saint-Émilion with the long-standing expertise of this estate, which specializes in Merlot-heavy compositions. The distinctive 2015 vintage shaped this bottle with consistently executed fruit ripeness, a stable tannin architecture, and clear acidity, offering immediate drinking pleasure without sacrificing aging potential. The calcareous weathered soil terroir imparts a compact body and mineral orientation, which clearly distinguishes its profile from lighter environments.
In the tasting, the red wine presents an intense ruby red and, after brief aeration, expands to reveal nuances of ripe blackcurrant, sweet plum stone, and subtle notes of dried herbs. The tannins appear fine-grained, smoothly framing the palate and indicating controlled integration over the years. A precise acidic backbone ensures clarity, while earthy and spicy tones provide a lasting finish. The recommended drinking window ranges from 2024 to approximately 2036, with brief aeration before pouring accelerating the aromatic development.
For pairing, medium-rare roast beef, wild rabbit, or firm aged cheese such as Appenzeller are recommended. The clear acidic structure quickly cuts through fats, while the fruit intensity supports hearty cooking techniques. This bottle addresses consumers looking for authentic regional classics that are accessible without unnecessary waiting, but also allow for strategic cellaring.

Of course, we accept returns within the scope of legal regulations. Provided the goods are in exactly the same condition as purchased, we will refund the full purchase price, excluding shipping costs, if returned within 14 days of receipt.

Where possible, and especially with larger wine cellar purchases, the wine cellars of the previous owners tell us a lot about the storage conditions of the wines. A professionally managed wine cellar usually guarantees perfect storage conditions for the wines. We acquire our wines exclusively from reputable, mostly private wine collectors.
HIDDEN FEATURES
UV-LIGHT TESTING
Many high-quality wines today feature various security features for authentication, such as markings that only become visible under UV light. We check and compare all purchased wines for these features using an extensive database, and if there is even the slightest doubt, we reject the wine.
THE DETAILS MATTER
LABELS & PRINTING
We examine wine labels under a microscope to determine their quality, and we check the printed image for any peculiarities that are typical for a particular winery, wine, or vintage. We draw on a large image database to identify any anomalies.
COLOR MAKES THE DIFFERENCE
THE CONTENT
Last but not least, we also examine the wine's composition. Color, turbidity, sediment, and the bubbles in a champagne reveal a lot about the wine's or champagne's condition and potential drinking pleasure.
