Chateau La Mondotte Chateau La Mondotte 2019 brings the concentrated, elegant side of Saint-Émilion to the glass. This renowned château is among the Right Bank’s most acclaimed estates and is known for expressive red wine with great depth. The 2019 vintage combines ripe fruit with vibrant freshness, offering both immediate enjoyment and considerable ageing potential. Its Saint-Émilion origins make it a distinctive choice for lovers of fine Bordeaux wines.

On tasting, it reveals a dense bouquet of dark berries, ripe plum and black cherries, complemented by delicate notes of spice, cocoa and fine oak. On the palate, this red wine is powerful and concentrated, yet remains precise and balanced. Its velvety structure is supported by refreshing acidity and a long, aromatic finish. Ideally, open it a little in advance or decant it to allow its complex aromas to unfold. It should be at its best between approximately 2027 and 2050.

Serve Chateau La Mondotte 2019 with braised beef cheek, entrecôte or rack of lamb. This Saint-Émilion also pairs beautifully with a rich mushroom jus and aged hard cheese.

    LIFE BEFORE...

Where possible, and especially with larger wine cellar purchases, the wine cellars of the previous owners tell us a lot about the storage conditions of the wines. A professionally managed wine cellar usually guarantees perfect storage conditions for the wines. We acquire our wines exclusively from reputable, mostly private wine collectors.

    HIDDEN FEATURES

Many high-quality wines today feature various security features for authentication, such as markings that only become visible under UV light. We check and compare all purchased wines for these features using an extensive database, and if there is even the slightest doubt, we reject the wine.

    THE DETAILS MATTER

We examine wine labels under a microscope to determine their quality, and we check the printed image for any peculiarities that are typical for a particular winery, wine, or vintage. We draw on a large image database to identify any anomalies.

    COLOR MAKES THE DIFFERENCE

Last but not least, we also examine the wine's composition. Color, turbidity, sediment, and the bubbles in a champagne reveal a lot about the wine's or champagne's condition and potential drinking pleasure.
