Chateau Lafite Rothschild 2002 is an outstanding example of the remarkable quality and heritage of one of the world's most renowned wineries. This château, known for its exceptional Bordeaux wines, combines tradition and innovation, which is also reflected in the 2002 vintage. The perfect climatic conditions that year resulted in grapes of exceptional ripeness and concentration, which shape the character of the wine. With its deep ruby red color, this wine immediately draws attention.

The tasting note reveals an elegant and complex wine, revealing aromas of black currants, cherries, and delicate spices. A hint of leather and mineral notes complement the bouquet, while the tannins are silky and well-integrated. The finish is long and full of finesse, making the Chateau Lafite Rothschild 2002 a true delight. This wine is at its best now and will likely remain so for several years to come, so you can enjoy it to the fullest.

For the perfect tasting experience, we recommend serving this exquisite Bordeaux with a succulent beef fillet or a game dish. The complexity and structure of the wine pair beautifully with rich, hearty dishes, lending your table an elegant flair.

LIFE BEFORE...

Where possible, and especially with larger wine cellar purchases, the wine cellars of the previous owners tell us a lot about the storage conditions of the wines. A professionally managed wine cellar usually guarantees perfect storage conditions for the wines. We acquire our wines exclusively from reputable, mostly private wine collectors.

HIDDEN FEATURES

Many high-quality wines today feature various security features for authentication, such as markings that only become visible under UV light. We check and compare all purchased wines for these features using an extensive database, and if there is even the slightest doubt, we reject the wine.

THE DETAILS MATTER

We examine wine labels under a microscope to determine their quality, and we check the printed image for any peculiarities that are typical for a particular winery, wine, or vintage. We draw on a large image database to identify any anomalies.

COLOR MAKES THE DIFFERENCE

Last but not least, we also examine the wine's composition. Color, turbidity, sediment, and the bubbles in a champagne reveal a lot about the wine's or champagne's condition and potential drinking pleasure.
