Chateau Montus Brumont Chateau Montus 1995

The Château Montus Brumont Château Montus 1995 exemplifies the distinctive profile of the Brumont winery. The 1995 vintage reflects the craftsmanship and patience with which the estate transforms terroir, ripeness, and freshness into a focused, enduring structure. Château Montus serves as the flagship of the Brumont portfolio and is known for delivering wines that possess a unique identity without sacrificing accessibility. For collectors and connoisseurs alike, this bottle offers an impressive taste journey into one of the oldest lines of the Brumont house. Such vintages appeal to wine lovers seeking true evolution in the glass.

Tasting Notes: In the glass, a deep ruby red color presents itself, the initial nose reveals aromatic complexity, accompanied by spicy notes and an elegant, well-integrated structure. On the palate, power, substance, and balance are at the forefront; tannins are present but polished, giving the wine remarkable finesse. The finish is long, precise, and leaves a lasting impression of maturity that allows for further development. This impression of maturity gives hope for further refinement during storage.

Food-Pairing Recommendation: Grilled red meat, lamb dishes, or a selection of aged cheeses support the structure of this vintage and ensure a harmonious meal. Serve the wine at approximately 16–18°C so that aromas, texture, and freshness combine optimally. Moderate aeration before serving can help release the aromas.

    LIFE BEFORE...

Where possible, and especially with larger wine cellar purchases, the wine cellars of the previous owners tell us a lot about the storage conditions of the wines. A professionally managed wine cellar usually guarantees perfect storage conditions for the wines. We acquire our wines exclusively from reputable, mostly private wine collectors.

    HIDDEN FEATURES

Many high-quality wines today feature various security features for authentication, such as markings that only become visible under UV light. We check and compare all purchased wines for these features using an extensive database, and if there is even the slightest doubt, we reject the wine.

    THE DETAILS MATTER

We examine wine labels under a microscope to determine their quality, and we check the printed image for any peculiarities that are typical for a particular winery, wine, or vintage. We draw on a large image database to identify any anomalies.

    COLOR MAKES THE DIFFERENCE

Last but not least, we also examine the wine's composition. Color, turbidity, sediment, and the bubbles in a champagne reveal a lot about the wine's or champagne's condition and potential drinking pleasure.
