Chateau Mouton Rothschild 1988 is an outstanding red wine that reflects the elegance and complexity of a classic Pauillac. The Mouton Rothschild winery is renowned worldwide for its excellent Bordeaux wines, which impress with their longevity and complexity. The 1988 vintage impresses with its exceptional balance and depth, making it a special collector's item. The nose reveals a harmonious combination of dark fruit, cedarwood, mocha, and subtle hints of pencil and tobacco, indicating a complex aromatic structure.

On the palate, this wine is structured, lively, and with well-integrated acidity. The great Pauillac character is evident in its depth and length, making it an ideal companion for special occasions. Tasting Note: The 1988 is an elegant, well-balanced wine with a pleasant fullness and a long finish. This vintage will be ideal for drinking in the coming years, but its outstanding quality suggests long cellaring potential, so it will continue to develop for some time to come.

Perfectly paired with lamb, mushroom dishes, or grilled beef, this wine offers an unforgettable taste experience. Choose the Chateau Mouton Rothschild 1988 and enjoy a piece of French wine tradition. Don't hesitate to open it on special occasions and let yourself be enchanted by its complexity.

    LIFE BEFORE...

Where possible, and especially with larger wine cellar purchases, the wine cellars of the previous owners tell us a lot about the storage conditions of the wines. A professionally managed wine cellar usually guarantees perfect storage conditions for the wines. We acquire our wines exclusively from reputable, mostly private wine collectors.

    HIDDEN FEATURES

Many high-quality wines today feature various security features for authentication, such as markings that only become visible under UV light. We check and compare all purchased wines for these features using an extensive database, and if there is even the slightest doubt, we reject the wine.

    THE DETAILS MATTER

We examine wine labels under a microscope to determine their quality, and we check the printed image for any peculiarities that are typical for a particular winery, wine, or vintage. We draw on a large image database to identify any anomalies.

    COLOR MAKES THE DIFFERENCE

Last but not least, we also examine the wine's composition. Color, turbidity, sediment, and the bubbles in a champagne reveal a lot about the wine's or champagne's condition and potential drinking pleasure.
