The estate is one of the few vineyards that produce both excellent reds and whites under one roof, with the historically documented winery being known since the Middle Ages for its characteristic gravel soils, which lend a specific minerality to the grapes. The 2015 vintage was marked by a warm summer with optimal ripening conditions, which produced concentrated fruits with fine-grained tannins. The cuvée is predominantly based on Cabernet Sauvignon and is rounded off by Merlot, which gives it structure and longevity.

In tasting, the offering shows deep dark ruby red colors with violet reflections. The nose reveals intense notes of ripe blackcurrants, cassis, and violets, complemented by subtle oak notes, graphite, and tobacco. On the palate, the liquid presents itself full-bodied with a velvety texture, supported by fine-grained acidity. A long finish demonstrates the high aging potential, so enjoyment is recommended from 2024 onwards and can extend well into the 2040s. Braised meat dishes such as game or lamb pair excellently with this profile, but aged cheese also harmonizes wonderfully with the complex characteristics.
