Château Pape Clément 2016 One of France's oldest documented vineyards, this estate combines historical prestige with precise site analysis in Pessac-Léognan. The exceptional 2016 vintage offers a balanced interplay of fruit intensity, firm acidity, and robust tannins, promising many years of aging potential. Characteristic of the estate is the sandy-gravelly subsoil, which allows the vines to root deeply and imparts specific mineral breadth to the must. Professional publications consistently highlight the harmonious balance between power-driven core fruit and elegant spice, without veering into massive extract.
Tasting reveals intense dark cherry notes, hints of graphite, smoked leaves, and sandalwood, while the tannic structure feels supple on the palate, and a long, mineral-laden finish rounds out the spectrum. The ideal drinking window opens immediately and will continue to evolve gracefully until approximately 2040. This wine proves to be a perfect accompaniment to roasted veal, fire-grilled venison, and full-bodied hard cheeses. For optimal aroma release, four hours of decanting before serving are recommended.

Unless otherwise stated, we ship our wines via UPS. Standard delivery time is approximately 2-3 business days within Germany and approximately 3-5 business days within the EU.
We pack the wines in UPS-licensed shipping boxes according to UPS packaging specifications.
Please note that in extreme temperatures that could affect the quality of the wine, we will only ship it upon your express request. Otherwise, we will store your purchased wines free of charge until safe shipment is possible.
Returns & Revocation
Of course, we accept returns within the scope of legal regulations. Provided the goods are in exactly the same condition as purchased, we will refund the full purchase price, excluding shipping costs, if returned within 14 days of receipt.
You must organize the return shipment yourself and also cover the return shipping costs and adequate shipping insurance.
