Clos Mogador Gratallops Priorat 2012 is a Priorat wine from the 2012 vintage that emphasizes its origin. The Clos Mogador winery is one of the region's defining names, combining years of craftsmanship with a striking, characterful style. The name Gratallops refers to one of Priorat's most renowned locations, while the 2012 vintage in this wine shows a balanced structure and potential for aging.

Tasting notes: The wine presents itself in the glass with a deep color, aromas of dark fruits, a mineral note, and a balanced blend of fruit and wood. On the palate, it shows concentration, noble tannins, and a long finish that suggests development potential.

Food pairing recommendation: Pair Clos Mogador Gratallops Priorat 2012 with aged cheese, beef or lamb dishes, and game dishes that support the wine's structure and minerality.

    LIFE BEFORE...

Where possible, and especially with larger wine cellar purchases, the wine cellars of the previous owners tell us a lot about the storage conditions of the wines. A professionally managed wine cellar usually guarantees perfect storage conditions for the wines. We acquire our wines exclusively from reputable, mostly private wine collectors.

    HIDDEN FEATURES

Many high-quality wines today feature various security features for authentication, such as markings that only become visible under UV light. We check and compare all purchased wines for these features using an extensive database, and if there is even the slightest doubt, we reject the wine.

    THE DETAILS MATTER

We examine wine labels under a microscope to determine their quality, and we check the printed image for any peculiarities that are typical for a particular winery, wine, or vintage. We draw on a large image database to identify any anomalies.

    COLOR MAKES THE DIFFERENCE

Last but not least, we also examine the wine's composition. Color, turbidity, sediment, and the bubbles in a champagne reveal a lot about the wine's or champagne's condition and potential drinking pleasure.
