Domaine des Comtes Lafon Meursault Clos de la Barre 2011 is an outstanding white wine that perfectly embodies the terroir of the renowned Meursault region. Domaine des Comtes Lafon is known for its organically farmed vineyards and its dedication to tradition, which is reflected in the quality and character of this vintage. The 2011 vintage is considered particularly successful and has established itself as a true masterpiece in the fine wine category, delighting connoisseurs and enthusiasts alike.

This Meursault offers a remarkable taste experience with aromas of ripe apples, citrus fruits, and a hint of nuts, accompanied by an elegant minerality. The delicate balance between freshness and creaminess ensures a long-lasting finish that makes this wine a truly special pleasure. The Domaine des Comtes Lafon Meursault Clos de la Barre 2011 can be enjoyed optimally up to ten years after harvest, making it an excellent choice for special occasions.

For a perfect food pairing, we recommend serving this fine white wine with a roasted chicken with herbs or a delicate seafood risotto. The harmonious flavors will make both the wine and the dish shine.

    LIFE BEFORE...

Where possible, and especially with larger wine cellar purchases, the wine cellars of the previous owners tell us a lot about the storage conditions of the wines. A professionally managed wine cellar usually guarantees perfect storage conditions for the wines. We acquire our wines exclusively from reputable, mostly private wine collectors.

    HIDDEN FEATURES

Many high-quality wines today feature various security features for authentication, such as markings that only become visible under UV light. We check and compare all purchased wines for these features using an extensive database, and if there is even the slightest doubt, we reject the wine.

    THE DETAILS MATTER

We examine wine labels under a microscope to determine their quality, and we check the printed image for any peculiarities that are typical for a particular winery, wine, or vintage. We draw on a large image database to identify any anomalies.

    COLOR MAKES THE DIFFERENCE

Last but not least, we also examine the wine's composition. Color, turbidity, sediment, and the bubbles in a champagne reveal a lot about the wine's or champagne's condition and potential drinking pleasure.
