Gantenbein Chardonnay 2022 is an outstanding representative of the renowned Gantenbein winery, known for its exquisite quality and innovation. The 2022 vintage impresses with its clear fruit and an impressive balance between freshness and complexity. The Gantenbein winery, located in the heart of Switzerland, is known for its careful grape selection and respectful approach to nature, which lends this Chardonnay a special finesse. This wine displays a bright golden yellow color and an elegant bouquet that combines notes of ripe peaches, citrus fruits, and a hint of mineral freshness. Upon tasting, the Gantenbein Chardonnay 2022 reveals a harmonious structure supported by lively acidity. Its complexity makes it an ideal accompaniment to light dishes, yet it also offers enough complexity for solo enjoyment. Optimal drinking maturity is expected to be between 2023 and 2026, making the wine perfect for enjoyable storage and later discovery. For a harmonious food pairing, we recommend fine seafood risotto, pan-fried scallops or light poultry dishes that emphasize the fruity and mineral nuances.

LIFE BEFORE...

Where possible, and especially with larger wine cellar purchases, the wine cellars of the previous owners tell us a lot about the storage conditions of the wines. A professionally managed wine cellar usually guarantees perfect storage conditions for the wines. We acquire our wines exclusively from reputable, mostly private wine collectors.

HIDDEN FEATURES

Many high-quality wines today feature various security features for authentication, such as markings that only become visible under UV light. We check and compare all purchased wines for these features using an extensive database, and if there is even the slightest doubt, we reject the wine.

THE DETAILS MATTER

We examine wine labels under a microscope to determine their quality, and we check the printed image for any peculiarities that are typical for a particular winery, wine, or vintage. We draw on a large image database to identify any anomalies.

COLOR MAKES THE DIFFERENCE

Last but not least, we also examine the wine's composition. Color, turbidity, sediment, and the bubbles in a champagne reveal a lot about the wine's or champagne's condition and potential drinking pleasure.
