The Giacomo Conterno Barbera D'Alba Cerretta 2010 is an outstanding wine from the renowned Conterno winery, known for its excellent winemaking traditions in the Piedmont region. The 2010 vintage is characterized by a particularly elegant balance between fruit and structure, offering a profound complexity that will delight lovers of exceptional wines. This winery places great emphasis on traditional production methods that perfectly reflect the character of the region.

In the glass, the wine presents a complex bouquet of ripe cherries, wild berries, and delicate spicy notes. On the palate, it displays an elegant balance between velvety tannins and fruity freshness, making it a long-lasting and pleasant drinking experience. Optimal drinking maturity is expected in the coming years, which will allow it to gain even more depth and complexity. For wine lovers looking for an exceptional companion, we recommend this wine with dishes such as pasta with game sauces, aged cheeses, or grilled meats. Discover the diversity of this special vintage and enjoy a piece of Piedmontese winemaking.

    LIFE BEFORE...

Where possible, and especially with larger wine cellar purchases, the wine cellars of the previous owners tell us a lot about the storage conditions of the wines. A professionally managed wine cellar usually guarantees perfect storage conditions for the wines. We acquire our wines exclusively from reputable, mostly private wine collectors.

    HIDDEN FEATURES

Many high-quality wines today feature various security features for authentication, such as markings that only become visible under UV light. We check and compare all purchased wines for these features using an extensive database, and if there is even the slightest doubt, we reject the wine.

    THE DETAILS MATTER

We examine wine labels under a microscope to determine their quality, and we check the printed image for any peculiarities that are typical for a particular winery, wine, or vintage. We draw on a large image database to identify any anomalies.

    COLOR MAKES THE DIFFERENCE

Last but not least, we also examine the wine's composition. Color, turbidity, sediment, and the bubbles in a champagne reveal a lot about the wine's or champagne's condition and potential drinking pleasure.
