    Hacienda Monasterio Reserva Especial 2015 brings the powerful, profound side of Ribera del Duero to the glass. The special cuvée from the renowned Hacienda Monasterio winery comes from the 2015 vintage, which is known for ripe fruit and a concentrated style. This red wine is for you if you are looking for intense Spanish wines with structure and potential for further development.

    The nose reveals dark berries, ripe plum and black cherry, accompanied by spicy notes, fine oak and a hint of cocoa. On the palate, the Reserva Especial is powerful and full-bodied, yet precisely guided by ripe tannins and well-integrated acidity. The finish is long-lasting, combining fruit, spice and mineral notes. With further bottle aging, the red wine will gain additional depth and harmonious roundness.

    Its optimal drinking window is approximately between 2023 and 2035. Ideally, open the bottle shortly before serving and pair it with braised beef, roast lamb or rich game dishes. This structured red wine also makes a harmonious pairing with aged hard cheese.

    Shipping information

    Unless otherwise specified, we ship our wines via UPS. Standard delivery time is approximately 5–8 business days within Germany and approximately 5–10 business days within the EU.

    For logistical reasons, we ship once a week, on Tuesdays.

    We pack the wines in UPS-certified shipping cartons in accordance with UPS packaging guidelines.

    Please note that in the event of extreme temperatures that could compromise wine quality, we will only ship the wines at your express request; otherwise, we will store your purchased wines free of charge until safe shipping is possible.
    Returns & Revocation

    Of course, we accept returns within the scope of legal regulations. Provided the goods are in exactly the same condition as purchased, we will refund the full purchase price, excluding shipping costs, if returned within 14 days of receipt.

    You must organize the return shipment yourself and also cover the return shipping costs and adequate shipping insurance.

    ORIGIN OF THE WINES

    Where possible, and especially with larger wine cellar purchases, the wine cellars of the previous owners tell us a lot about the storage conditions of the wines. A professionally managed wine cellar usually guarantees perfect storage conditions for the wines. We acquire our wines exclusively from reputable, mostly private wine collectors.

    Many high-quality wines today feature various security features for authentication, such as markings that only become visible under UV light. We check and compare all purchased wines for these features using an extensive database, and if there is even the slightest doubt, we reject the wine.
    THE DETAILS MATTER

    We examine wine labels under a microscope to determine their quality, and we check the printed image for any peculiarities that are typical for a particular winery, wine, or vintage. We draw on a large image database to identify any anomalies.

    Last but not least, we also examine the wine's composition. Color, turbidity, sediment, and the bubbles in a champagne reveal a lot about the wine's or champagne's condition and potential drinking pleasure.
