Jean Louis Chave Hermitage blanc 2019

This white Hermitage brings the class of one of the renowned Rhône wineries to your home. Jean-Louis Chave stands for traditional winemaking in Hermitage, one of the most prestigious appellations in the northern Rhône region. The 2019 vintage is aimed at connoisseurs seeking a characterful French white wine for special occasions. Its origin and fine wine profile make it an exciting choice for a well-curated wine collection.

On the palate, the Hermitage blanc reveals itself as an expressive white wine with a concentrated, elegant character. Ripe fruit, precise freshness, and spicy nuances combine to create a multi-layered impression. It is balanced and persistent on the palate, with a structure that clearly sets it apart from uncomplicated everyday wines. The vintage is suitable both for mindful enjoyment by the glass and as an accompaniment to a sophisticated menu. The optimal drinking window is expected to be between 2024 and 2034.

Serve it with fried or grilled fish, fine seafood, or light meat with a creamy sauce. This Hermitage also demonstrates its particular versatility with poultry and finely seasoned dishes from French cuisine.

    LIFE BEFORE...

Where possible, and especially with larger wine cellar purchases, the wine cellars of the previous owners tell us a lot about the storage conditions of the wines. A professionally managed wine cellar usually guarantees perfect storage conditions for the wines. We acquire our wines exclusively from reputable, mostly private wine collectors.

    HIDDEN FEATURES

Many high-quality wines today feature various security features for authentication, such as markings that only become visible under UV light. We check and compare all purchased wines for these features using an extensive database, and if there is even the slightest doubt, we reject the wine.

    THE DETAILS MATTER

We examine wine labels under a microscope to determine their quality, and we check the printed image for any peculiarities that are typical for a particular winery, wine, or vintage. We draw on a large image database to identify any anomalies.

    COLOR MAKES THE DIFFERENCE

Last but not least, we also examine the wine's composition. Color, turbidity, sediment, and the bubbles in a champagne reveal a lot about the wine's or champagne's condition and potential drinking pleasure.
