Jean-Louis Chave Hermitage Red 2019 brings the concentrated, expressive side of the northern Rhône to the glass. This red wine comes from the renowned Jean-Louis Chave estate and is one of the most sought-after Hermitage bottlings. The 2019 vintage is still young and age-worthy, with plenty of depth and potential for development. You are choosing a red wine for special evenings that does not immediately reveal its full personality.
On the palate, the Hermitage is powerful and precise. Dark berries, plum and black cherry combine with spicy nuances, pepper and mineral undertones. It is concentrated yet balanced on the palate, with a distinctive structure and a long finish. The fine-grained tannins provide support and allow the aromas to emerge increasingly clearly with aeration. Ideally, open the bottle a few hours before serving and pour the red wine into large glasses.
Its optimal drinking window is expected to extend from around the late 2020s into the 2040s. This Hermitage pairs particularly well with braised beef, roast lamb or rich game dishes. Aged hard cheese also convincingly complements its dark fruit and spicy depth.

Shipping information
Unless otherwise specified, we ship our wines via UPS. Standard delivery time is approximately 5–8 business days within Germany and approximately 5–10 business days within the EU.
For logistical reasons, we ship once a week, on Tuesdays.
We pack the wines in UPS-certified shipping cartons in accordance with UPS packaging guidelines.
Please note that in the event of extreme temperatures that could compromise wine quality, we will only ship the wines at your express request; otherwise, we will store your purchased wines free of charge until safe shipping is possible.
Returns & Revocation
Of course, we accept returns within the scope of legal regulations. Provided the goods are in exactly the same condition as purchased, we will refund the full purchase price, excluding shipping costs, if returned within 14 days of receipt.
You must organize the return shipment yourself and also cover the return shipping costs and adequate shipping insurance.
