Mas Martinet Clos Martinet 2013 brings you the best of the legendary Priorat region in Catalonia. This winery is one of Priorat's pioneers, focusing on old vines and sustainable practices. The 2013 vintage is a mature, concentrated red wine made from Garnacha and Carinena, aged for a long period in wood.

Upon tasting, the wine reveals a deep garnet-red color and an intense presence. The nose displays dark berries, spices, and mineral notes. On the palate, the wine feels both powerful and elegant: velvety tannins lead into a fine, persistent finish with spicy echoes. The balance between power and finesse makes it truly special.

It is best to drink this wine between 2025 and 2035, as its complexity continues to unfold. It pairs excellently with dark meats such as game dishes or roast lamb, as well as with aged cheeses or hearty stews. It also reveals its full character enjoyed on its own in the evening.

LIFE BEFORE...

Where possible, and especially with larger wine cellar purchases, the wine cellars of the previous owners tell us a lot about the storage conditions of the wines. A professionally managed wine cellar usually guarantees perfect storage conditions for the wines. We acquire our wines exclusively from reputable, mostly private wine collectors.

HIDDEN FEATURES

Many high-quality wines today feature various security features for authentication, such as markings that only become visible under UV light. We check and compare all purchased wines for these features using an extensive database, and if there is even the slightest doubt, we reject the wine.

THE DETAILS MATTER

We examine wine labels under a microscope to determine their quality, and we check the printed image for any peculiarities that are typical for a particular winery, wine, or vintage. We draw on a large image database to identify any anomalies.

COLOR MAKES THE DIFFERENCE

Last but not least, we also examine the wine's composition. Color, turbidity, sediment, and the bubbles in a champagne reveal a lot about the wine's or champagne's condition and potential drinking pleasure.
