Poderi Oddero Barolo 2015 is an outstanding wine from the renowned Poderi Oddero winery, known for its artisan tradition and the exceptional quality of its wines. The 2015 vintage offers a perfect balance between fruit, structure, and elegance, making this Barolo a true gem. The winery is located in the renowned Langhe region of Piedmont, where the grapes are carefully tended and vinified using traditional methods to unleash the full potential of each vine. This magnum not only offers an impressive bottle for special occasions but also excellent ageing potential to further enhance its complex aromas.

The tasting notes of the Poderi Oddero Barolo 2015 reveal intense aromas of ripe cherries, dried rose petals, and spicy notes of pepper and licorice. On the palate, it is full-bodied, with velvety tannins and an elegant minerality typical of the region. This wine is ideal for ageing for approximately 10 to 15 years to fully develop its complex nuances. Such a subtle and long-lasting wine pairs perfectly with aged cheeses, dark meats, or risotto with game. Treat yourself to this masterpiece and enjoy a piece of Piedmontese wine tradition on special occasions.

    LIFE BEFORE...

Where possible, and especially with larger wine cellar purchases, the wine cellars of the previous owners tell us a lot about the storage conditions of the wines. A professionally managed wine cellar usually guarantees perfect storage conditions for the wines. We acquire our wines exclusively from reputable, mostly private wine collectors.

    HIDDEN FEATURES

Many high-quality wines today feature various security features for authentication, such as markings that only become visible under UV light. We check and compare all purchased wines for these features using an extensive database, and if there is even the slightest doubt, we reject the wine.

    THE DETAILS MATTER

We examine wine labels under a microscope to determine their quality, and we check the printed image for any peculiarities that are typical for a particular winery, wine, or vintage. We draw on a large image database to identify any anomalies.

    COLOR MAKES THE DIFFERENCE

Last but not least, we also examine the wine's composition. Color, turbidity, sediment, and the bubbles in a champagne reveal a lot about the wine's or champagne's condition and potential drinking pleasure.
