Tenuta San Guido Sassicaia 2004 is an outstanding wine from the renowned Tenuta San Guido winery in Tuscany, considered a pioneer of the Super Tuscan wine. The 2004 vintage impresses with its elegant structure and displays the typical refinement for which Sassicaia is prized worldwide. This winery revolutionized the Italian wine landscape and set new standards in quality and style with Sassicaia.

In the glass, the Tenuta San Guido Sassicaia 2004 presents itself with a deep garnet red color. The nose is characterized by intense aromas of black currant, ripe cherry, and subtle notes of tobacco and spice. On the palate, an impressive complexity unfolds, supported by velvety tannins and balanced acidity, giving the wine a long-lasting, elegant finesse. This harmony makes it a perfect companion for special occasions.

The optimal drinking period for this vintage is approximately between 2015 and 2030, when its finesse and structure best unfold. This wine pairs perfectly with mature hard cheeses, grilled beef, and game dishes, ideally rounding off the taste experience. Discover the Tenuta San Guido Sassicaia 2004, a unique classic of the Italian wine world, and treat yourself to this exceptional pleasure.

    LIFE BEFORE...

Where possible, and especially with larger wine cellar purchases, the wine cellars of the previous owners tell us a lot about the storage conditions of the wines. A professionally managed wine cellar usually guarantees perfect storage conditions for the wines. We acquire our wines exclusively from reputable, mostly private wine collectors.

    HIDDEN FEATURES

Many high-quality wines today feature various security features for authentication, such as markings that only become visible under UV light. We check and compare all purchased wines for these features using an extensive database, and if there is even the slightest doubt, we reject the wine.

    THE DETAILS MATTER

We examine wine labels under a microscope to determine their quality, and we check the printed image for any peculiarities that are typical for a particular winery, wine, or vintage. We draw on a large image database to identify any anomalies.

    COLOR MAKES THE DIFFERENCE

Last but not least, we also examine the wine's composition. Color, turbidity, sediment, and the bubbles in a champagne reveal a lot about the wine's or champagne's condition and potential drinking pleasure.
