The Von Winning winery in the Rheinhessen region is known for outstanding quality products with a focus on long tradition and down-to-earth authenticity. This specific 2016 vintage was produced under optimal climatic conditions, ensuring full technical and phenolic ripeness of the grapes. The Kirchenstück site in Wattenheim offers characteristic limestone soils, which give the wine an unmistakable minerality and depth. The vinification is strictly traditional, without strong oak treatment, to preserve the originality of the grape variety. This guarantees an extremely pure aroma that perfectly reflects the specific soil style and highlights the artisanal precision. The aroma is dominated by intense ripe white berries and exotic citrus fruits, accompanied by subtle honeyed undertones and smoky nut notes. The palate is clearly balanced with a structured acidity and a long finish with a very powerful end. The balance between freshness and body is exemplary. According to experts, the optimal time for enjoyment is between 2024 and 2029, although the high-quality wine already appears very harmonious and drinkable now. It is preferably suited to fish dishes with buttercream or light veal dishes. This recommendation is based on the intense fruit effect of the beverage, which easily compensates for heavy sauces and spices. A perfect example of modern German classicism in the style of Grosses Gewächs.

Unless otherwise stated, we ship our wines via UPS. Standard delivery time is approximately 2-3 business days within Germany and approximately 3-5 business days within the EU.
We pack the wines in UPS-licensed shipping boxes according to UPS packaging specifications.
Please note that in extreme temperatures that could affect the quality of the wine, we will only ship it upon your express request. Otherwise, we will store your purchased wines free of charge until safe shipment is possible.
Returns & Revocation
Of course, we accept returns within the scope of legal regulations. Provided the goods are in exactly the same condition as purchased, we will refund the full purchase price, excluding shipping costs, if returned within 14 days of receipt.
You must organize the return shipment yourself and also cover the return shipping costs and adequate shipping insurance.
