Weingut Keller Kirchspiel GG 2024 The Kirchspiel GG from Weingut Keller is one of the iconic sites in Rheinhessen. The 2024 vintage displays clear minerality, delicate fruit, and balanced freshness. What sets this wine apart is its consistent focus on the Kirchspiel site, combined with typical Keller precision, harmoniously blending the limestone soil and fruit structure. Critics such as Falstaff, Robert Parker, Jancis Robinson, Jeff Leve, and Wine Spectator praise Keller Kirchspiel GG as a benchmark for terroir-focused Riesling, impressively combining provenance, precision, and craftsmanship.

The tasting reveals notes of green apple, citrus, and peach, supported by a chalky minerality. On the palate, the wine is both compact and elegant, with lively acidity that adds structure and a long, silky finish that combines clarity of fruit with depth.

Optimal drinking maturity is expected to begin in 2029 and can develop over decades. Food pairing suggestion: Oysters, scallops, grilled salmon, or creamy risotto – dishes that ideally complement the salty minerality and freshness of the Kirchspiel GG.

    LIFE BEFORE...

Where possible, and especially with larger wine cellar purchases, the wine cellars of the previous owners tell us a lot about the storage conditions of the wines. A professionally managed wine cellar usually guarantees perfect storage conditions for the wines. We acquire our wines exclusively from reputable, mostly private wine collectors.

    HIDDEN FEATURES

Many high-quality wines today feature various security features for authentication, such as markings that only become visible under UV light. We check and compare all purchased wines for these features using an extensive database, and if there is even the slightest doubt, we reject the wine.

    THE DETAILS MATTER

We examine wine labels under a microscope to determine their quality, and we check the printed image for any peculiarities that are typical for a particular winery, wine, or vintage. We draw on a large image database to identify any anomalies.

    COLOR MAKES THE DIFFERENCE

Last but not least, we also examine the wine's composition. Color, turbidity, sediment, and the bubbles in a champagne reveal a lot about the wine's or champagne's condition and potential drinking pleasure.
