Weingut Robert Weil Kiedrich Gräfenberg Auslese 2004 Half-Bottle

This half-bottle brings a matured sweet wine from one of the renowned Kiedrich vineyards of the Robert Weil estate into your glass. This 2004 Auslese combines the classification of a particularly ripe selection with the character of the Kiedrich Gräfenberg. Its convenient size makes it especially suitable for a focused tasting for two or as a stylish conclusion to a meal.

The tasting experience is defined by a matured Auslese: sweetness, maturity, and the distinctive origin of the vineyard take center stage. The 2004 vintage adds an extra touch of historical charm to this fine sweet wine, making it an interesting choice for lovers of older vintages. Serve it well-chilled so that its sweetness is balanced and clearly defined. The half-bottle pairs particularly well with stone fruit desserts, fine fruit pastries, or a selection of bold, aged cheeses. This Auslese can also provide an elegant contrast to a foie gras terrine.

LIFE BEFORE...

Where possible, and especially with larger wine cellar purchases, the wine cellars of the previous owners tell us a lot about the storage conditions of the wines. A professionally managed wine cellar usually guarantees perfect storage conditions for the wines. We acquire our wines exclusively from reputable, mostly private wine collectors.

HIDDEN FEATURES

Many high-quality wines today feature various security features for authentication, such as markings that only become visible under UV light. We check and compare all purchased wines for these features using an extensive database, and if there is even the slightest doubt, we reject the wine.

THE DETAILS MATTER

We examine wine labels under a microscope to determine their quality, and we check the printed image for any peculiarities that are typical for a particular winery, wine, or vintage. We draw on a large image database to identify any anomalies.

COLOR MAKES THE DIFFERENCE

Last but not least, we also examine the wine's composition. Color, turbidity, sediment, and the bubbles in a champagne reveal a lot about the wine's or champagne's condition and potential drinking pleasure.
