With the 1999 Weingut Robert Weil Kiedrich Gräfenberg Beerenauslese half-bottle, you will discover a mature sweet wine from one of the Rheingau's most renowned Riesling sites. Since the 19th century, Weingut Robert Weil has stood for precise, long-lived Rieslings from Kiedrich. The Kiedrich Gräfenberg is one of the estate's outstanding vineyards. Its steep slate and Taunus quartzite soils provide the foundation for wines with tension and great aromatic depth.

The 1999 vintage combines ripe fruit with the preserving power of Riesling. The nose reveals notes of dried apricot, honey, candied citrus fruit, and subtle herbs. On the palate, the Beerenauslese is concentrated and supple. A vibrant acidity keeps the sweetness in balance and ensures a clear, long finish. With its convenient half-bottle size, it is particularly suitable for a special evening for two or as a stylish gift for lovers of mature sweet wines.

Serve this Beerenauslese slightly chilled. It pairs well with foie gras, bold blue cheeses, and desserts featuring apricot, peach, or caramelized nuts. It also adds an aromatic accent to a mature Tarte Tatin without overpowering its delicate fruit.

LIFE BEFORE...

Where possible, and especially with larger wine cellar purchases, the wine cellars of the previous owners tell us a lot about the storage conditions of the wines. A professionally managed wine cellar usually guarantees perfect storage conditions for the wines. We acquire our wines exclusively from reputable, mostly private wine collectors.

HIDDEN FEATURES

Many high-quality wines today feature various security features for authentication, such as markings that only become visible under UV light. We check and compare all purchased wines for these features using an extensive database, and if there is even the slightest doubt, we reject the wine.

THE DETAILS MATTER

We examine wine labels under a microscope to determine their quality, and we check the printed image for any peculiarities that are typical for a particular winery, wine, or vintage. We draw on a large image database to identify any anomalies.

COLOR MAKES THE DIFFERENCE

Last but not least, we also examine the wine's composition. Color, turbidity, sediment, and the bubbles in a champagne reveal a lot about the wine's or champagne's condition and potential drinking pleasure.
