Weingut Schäfer Fröhlich Felseneck GG 2020 Magnum

The Schäfer Fröhlich winery is one of the most renowned wineries in the German Nahe wine-growing region. The 2020 vintage showcases the exceptional quality and terroir of this exceptional Felseneck vineyard, characterized by steep slopes and mineral-rich soils. This wine impresses with its intense fruit, clear structure, and complex minerality. The magnum bottle underscores its potential for impressive aging and particularly rich flavor development.

Tasting reveals an elegant nose with aromas of ripe citrus fruits, peach, and a hint of mineral salt. On the palate, the Felseneck GG 2020 is powerful yet balanced, with fine acidity and a pleasant length. This wine is ideal for harmonious drinking and will develop its full expressiveness over the coming years. Optimal drinking maturity is expected to be between 2023 and 2028. For a perfect tasting experience, we recommend serving it with dishes such as grilled fish, seafood, or fine cheeses. Discover the pure elegance of the Nahe terroir with this wine and enjoy an extraordinary wine journey.

LIFE BEFORE...

Where possible, and especially with larger wine cellar purchases, the wine cellars of the previous owners tell us a lot about the storage conditions of the wines. A professionally managed wine cellar usually guarantees perfect storage conditions for the wines. We acquire our wines exclusively from reputable, mostly private wine collectors.

HIDDEN FEATURES

Many high-quality wines today feature various security features for authentication, such as markings that only become visible under UV light. We check and compare all purchased wines for these features using an extensive database, and if there is even the slightest doubt, we reject the wine.

THE DETAILS MATTER

We examine wine labels under a microscope to determine their quality, and we check the printed image for any peculiarities that are typical for a particular winery, wine, or vintage. We draw on a large image database to identify any anomalies.

COLOR MAKES THE DIFFERENCE

Last but not least, we also examine the wine's composition. Color, turbidity, sediment, and the bubbles in a champagne reveal a lot about the wine's or champagne's condition and potential drinking pleasure.
