Weingut Wittmann Morstein Riesling Beerenauslese 2007 combines the distinctive sweetness of a Beerenauslese with the precise character of the Riesling grape variety. The 2007 vintage makes this sweet wine a characterful choice for special occasions and quiet moments of indulgence. Its name refers to the Morstein vineyard site and the renowned Wittmann winery.

When tasting, you can expect a concentrated, noble-sweet Riesling with ripe fruit and balanced acidity. The Beerenauslese stands for an intense, natural sweetness that gives the wine its special richness. At the same time, Riesling typically provides freshness and tension. Serve it well-chilled and give it time in the glass so that its aromatic depth can fully unfold.

This sweet wine pairs excellently with aged blue cheese, foie gras, or fine desserts featuring apricot, peach, and other yellow fruits. It also makes a fine impression as an elegant finish to a meal. The bottle is particularly lovely to open on festive evenings, when a small pour is sufficient and the wine is savored mindfully.

LIFE BEFORE...

Where possible, and especially with larger wine cellar purchases, the wine cellars of the previous owners tell us a lot about the storage conditions of the wines. A professionally managed wine cellar usually guarantees perfect storage conditions for the wines. We acquire our wines exclusively from reputable, mostly private wine collectors.

HIDDEN FEATURES

Many high-quality wines today feature various security features for authentication, such as markings that only become visible under UV light. We check and compare all purchased wines for these features using an extensive database, and if there is even the slightest doubt, we reject the wine.

THE DETAILS MATTER

We examine wine labels under a microscope to determine their quality, and we check the printed image for any peculiarities that are typical for a particular winery, wine, or vintage. We draw on a large image database to identify any anomalies.

COLOR MAKES THE DIFFERENCE

Last but not least, we also examine the wine's composition. Color, turbidity, sediment, and the bubbles in a champagne reveal a lot about the wine's or champagne's condition and potential drinking pleasure.
