Chateau d'Yquem 2001 is an outstanding sweet wine that embodies the essence of luxury and excellence. This renowned winery, known for its unique and opulent sweet wines, has created a masterpiece with the 2001 vintage. Chateau d'Yquem impresses with its full-bodied structure and the perfect balance of sweetness and acidity, setting it apart from other fine wines. The magnum bottle not only offers an impressive format but also allows the aromas to develop over time.

Upon tasting, this wine unfolds a complex bouquet of honey, ripe apricots, and a hint of vanilla, accompanied by delicate floral notes. On the palate, an opulent sweetness harmonizes perfectly with lively acidity, leaving a long, elegant finish. This exceptional balance makes Chateau d'Yquem 2001 an ideal companion for special occasions and fine dining. It's now at its optimal drinking maturity, so you can experience this incomparable pleasure immediately. For a perfect food pairing, we recommend serving this sweet wine with foie gras, blue cheese, or a fruity dessert—a combination that will enchant your senses.

    LIFE BEFORE...

Where possible, and especially with larger wine cellar purchases, the wine cellars of the previous owners tell us a lot about the storage conditions of the wines. A professionally managed wine cellar usually guarantees perfect storage conditions for the wines. We acquire our wines exclusively from reputable, mostly private wine collectors.

    HIDDEN FEATURES

Many high-quality wines today feature various security features for authentication, such as markings that only become visible under UV light. We check and compare all purchased wines for these features using an extensive database, and if there is even the slightest doubt, we reject the wine.

    THE DETAILS MATTER

We examine wine labels under a microscope to determine their quality, and we check the printed image for any peculiarities that are typical for a particular winery, wine, or vintage. We draw on a large image database to identify any anomalies.

    COLOR MAKES THE DIFFERENCE

Last but not least, we also examine the wine's composition. Color, turbidity, sediment, and the bubbles in a champagne reveal a lot about the wine's or champagne's condition and potential drinking pleasure.
