Chateau Pichon-Longueville Baron 2eme Grand Cru Classe 1995 [Lot 2] is an exceptional red wine that perfectly reflects the elegance and complexity of this renowned winery. This 1995 vintage is distinguished by its exceptional storage in a cool, humid natural stone cellar, which significantly enhances the wine's maturity and quality. The Pichon-Longueville Baron winery is known for its classic Bordeaux-style wines, which impress with their balance, depth, and complexity. The wine has achieved remarkable maturity in this bottle and offers an incomparable tasting experience for lovers of aged wines.

The tasting reveals an elegant nose with aromas of ripe black currants, delicate tobacco notes, and subtle hints of spice and wood. On the palate, the wine is full-bodied, with silky tannins and a pleasant freshness that wonderfully complements the complex fruit and spice aromas. Its exposed age and perfect storage make this wine a special treat that has already reached its optimal drinking maturity. For an unforgettable tasting experience, we recommend serving this wine with red meat, game dishes, or mature cheese. Treat yourself to this exceptional Bordeaux and enjoy a piece of wine tradition at its peak.

FINE WINE
AUCTIONS

Auction your way to select fine wine rarities with us easily and conveniently. Here you'll find all the important information about the process before, during, and after the auction.

Would you like to auction your own wines with us? Send us an inquiry, and we'll be happy to get back to you!

Basics about auctions

With VINOSAS auctions, you have the opportunity to purchase selected wines at the best price. Unlike regular auctions, however, you always have the option to immediately purchase the wine from an ongoing auction at the regular selling price. This gives you the opportunity to purchase wines at a lower price than our regular selling price – without any additional fees!

Fees, premiums & co.

Since we are not a traditional auction house, but simply offer our wines under an alternative pricing model, we do not charge any additional fees or premiums. If you successfully win a wine, you only pay the purchase price plus shipping costs.

Requirements for submitting a bid

The only difference from regular purchases in our online shop is that you must have a customer account with us and be logged in to place bids. You can easily create a customer account here, free of charge.

Your customer account will then provide you with an overview of all your bids, auction wins, etc.

Make simple bids

To place a bid on an auction item, you must be logged into your customer account. To bid, simply enter the desired bid and then click "BID."

Your bid must be at least €5 higher than the current leading bid.

Please note that you may be immediately outbid by other users who have placed a bid via the bidding agent if their maximum bid is higher than your current bid.

Bidding with bidding agent

With our bidding agent, you only bid enough to be the highest bidder until another bidder has placed a bid higher than your maximum bid.

To do so, click on "BID WITH BIDDING AGENT" and enter your maximum bid in the window that opens.

Unlike with normal bids, the bidding agent now automatically only bids the minimum price necessary to be the highest bidder until another bidder has placed a bid higher than your maximum bid.

Can I withdraw my bid?

No. All bids are legally binding and, if successful, oblige the buyer to purchase.

Direct-buy

You can purchase the item at any time, even during an ongoing auction, at the Buy It Now price (equivalent to our regular selling price).

In this case, the item will be placed in your shopping cart, and you can purchase it like a regular online shop item.

Please note that once an item has been placed in your shopping cart using Buy It Now, the purchase is binding, and you must complete the order. Cancellation of the purchase order is not possible.

After winning the auction

If you have successfully won an item, you will receive an email from us notifying you of your successful bid.

Please log in to your customer account on our website. You will now find all your won auctions under "Auctions."

Pay for won auction

After you have placed the items you have won in your shopping cart in your customer account, you can pay for the items like regular purchases from our online shop.

Shipping costs will be automatically calculated according to our shipping policy.

All of our regularly accepted payment options are available to you.

Delivery of the auctioned wines

The wines will be delivered immediately after receipt of payment. We usually ship our wines via UPS, and you will receive a notification with a tracking number via email once your wines have left our premises.

LIFE BEFORE...

Where possible, and especially with larger wine cellar purchases, the wine cellars of the previous owners tell us a lot about the storage conditions of the wines. A professionally managed wine cellar usually guarantees perfect storage conditions for the wines. We acquire our wines exclusively from reputable, mostly private wine collectors.

HIDDEN FEATURES

Many high-quality wines today feature various security features for authentication, such as markings that only become visible under UV light. We check and compare all purchased wines for these features using an extensive database, and if there is even the slightest doubt, we reject the wine.

THE DETAILS MATTER

We examine wine labels under a microscope to determine their quality, and we check the printed image for any peculiarities that are typical for a particular winery, wine, or vintage. We draw on a large image database to identify any anomalies.

COLOR MAKES THE DIFFERENCE

Last but not least, we also examine the wine's composition. Color, turbidity, sediment, and the bubbles in a champagne reveal a lot about the wine's or champagne's condition and potential drinking pleasure.
