Domaine de la Pousse d'Or Clos des 60 Ouvrees 2017 is an outstanding red wine from the renowned Domaine de la Pousse d'Or, known for its excellent Burgundy wines. The 2017 vintage is considered one of the best in recent years and perfectly showcases the characteristic features of the terroir. The grapes come from the Clos des 60 Ouvrees, a particularly privileged vineyard appreciated for its mineral soils and ideal microclimate.

Tasting notes: This wine reveals complex aromas of ripe red fruits, such as cherries and raspberries, complemented by subtle notes of spice and earthy tones. On the palate, it offers remarkable finesse, paired with elegant tannins and a lively acidity that supports the long, harmonious finish. The optimal time to enjoy this wine is in the coming years, as it will continue to gain complexity and depth.

For a perfect food pairing, we recommend combining it with a braised roast beef or a selection of aged cheeses, which beautifully enhance the flavors of this exquisite Burgundy. Let yourself be enchanted by the class and elegance of this wine!

    LIFE BEFORE...

Where possible, and especially with larger wine cellar purchases, the wine cellars of the previous owners tell us a lot about the storage conditions of the wines. A professionally managed wine cellar usually guarantees perfect storage conditions for the wines. We acquire our wines exclusively from reputable, mostly private wine collectors.

    HIDDEN FEATURES

Many high-quality wines today feature various security features for authentication, such as markings that only become visible under UV light. We check and compare all purchased wines for these features using an extensive database, and if there is even the slightest doubt, we reject the wine.

    THE DETAILS MATTER

We examine wine labels under a microscope to determine their quality, and we check the printed image for any peculiarities that are typical for a particular winery, wine, or vintage. We draw on a large image database to identify any anomalies.

    COLOR MAKES THE DIFFERENCE

Last but not least, we also examine the wine's composition. Color, turbidity, sediment, and the bubbles in a champagne reveal a lot about the wine's or champagne's condition and potential drinking pleasure.
