Egon Müller Scharzhofberger Riesling Spätlese 2009 is an exceptional wine from one of the most renowned wineries in the Mosel region. The Egon Müller winery stands for exquisite craftsmanship and a long tradition in producing high-quality Rieslings. The 2009 vintage is characterized by a balanced climate, which imbues this wine with a fascinating balance of fruit, acidity, and minerality. This Spätlese is known for its elegance and depth, making it a true gem in the collection.

Tasting reveals a complex aroma with notes of ripe apricots, honey, and a delicate hint of minerality. The wine displays a lively acidity structure, accompanied by complex fruit flavors, making it both fresh and long-lasting. The recommended drinking age is between 2010 and 2025, allowing you to benefit from its optimal development for many years to come. This Riesling pairs perfectly with Asian dishes, seafood, or spicy cheese and offers an incomparable taste experience for connoisseurs.

    LIFE BEFORE...

Where possible, and especially with larger wine cellar purchases, the wine cellars of the previous owners tell us a lot about the storage conditions of the wines. A professionally managed wine cellar usually guarantees perfect storage conditions for the wines. We acquire our wines exclusively from reputable, mostly private wine collectors.

    HIDDEN FEATURES

Many high-quality wines today feature various security features for authentication, such as markings that only become visible under UV light. We check and compare all purchased wines for these features using an extensive database, and if there is even the slightest doubt, we reject the wine.

    THE DETAILS MATTER

We examine wine labels under a microscope to determine their quality, and we check the printed image for any peculiarities that are typical for a particular winery, wine, or vintage. We draw on a large image database to identify any anomalies.

    COLOR MAKES THE DIFFERENCE

Last but not least, we also examine the wine's composition. Color, turbidity, sediment, and the bubbles in a champagne reveal a lot about the wine's or champagne's condition and potential drinking pleasure.
