Elio Grasso Barbera d'Alba Vigna Martina 2016 is an outstanding wine from the renowned Elio Grasso winery in the Barolo region. This vintage impresses with its exceptional balance and depth, reflecting the terroir and meticulous craftsmanship. The winery is known for its meticulous winemaking and long-lasting wines, which is also reflected in the 2016 vintage. The grapes are selectively harvested and processed using traditional methods to preserve the full fruit and fine tannins. This wine is a true gem for connoisseurs and wine lovers.

The tasting reveals a complex bouquet with notes of ripe red berries, dark cherries, and a hint of spice. The palate displays an elegant structure with velvety tannins and a vibrant freshness. The Elio Grasso Barbera d'Alba Vigna Martina 2016 offers a balanced balance between fruit and minerality and has a long finish. For optimal enjoyment, we recommend drinking it between 2021 and 2026 to unfold its full complexity. This wine pairs perfectly with dishes such as game, pasta with dark sauces, or aged cheeses. Discover a piece of Piedmontese wine tradition with this wine and treat yourself to an incomparable taste experience.

LIFE BEFORE...

Where possible, and especially with larger wine cellar purchases, the wine cellars of the previous owners tell us a lot about the storage conditions of the wines. A professionally managed wine cellar usually guarantees perfect storage conditions for the wines. We acquire our wines exclusively from reputable, mostly private wine collectors.

HIDDEN FEATURES

Many high-quality wines today feature various security features for authentication, such as markings that only become visible under UV light. We check and compare all purchased wines for these features using an extensive database, and if there is even the slightest doubt, we reject the wine.

THE DETAILS MATTER

We examine wine labels under a microscope to determine their quality, and we check the printed image for any peculiarities that are typical for a particular winery, wine, or vintage. We draw on a large image database to identify any anomalies.

COLOR MAKES THE DIFFERENCE

Last but not least, we also examine the wine's composition. Color, turbidity, sediment, and the bubbles in a champagne reveal a lot about the wine's or champagne's condition and potential drinking pleasure.
