Elio Grasso Barolo Runcot Riserva 2010 is an outstanding wine from the renowned Elio Grasso winery in Italy's Langhe region. The 2010 vintage impresses with its complex development and profound characteristics, reflecting the winery's terroir and craftsmanship. This special Barolo is made exclusively from carefully selected Nebbiolo grapes and offers an exquisite balance between power and elegance.

When tasted, the Elio Grasso Runcot Riserva 2010 unfolds an intense nose with aromas of dark berries, dried herbs, and delicate spice notes. On the palate, it displays a wonderfully velvety texture, paired with elegant tannins and a long, lingering finish. This winery is known for its long-lasting wines, which gain complexity over time. Optimal drinking maturity is expected to be between 2018 and 2025, although the wine may continue to develop in expressiveness in the coming years.

Such a multifaceted wine is ideal with dishes such as game, truffle risotto, or aged cheese. For an unforgettable tasting experience, we recommend enjoying the Elio Grasso Barolo Runcot Riserva 2010 at a temperature of around 18°C. Be captivated by the depth and refinement of this Barolo and experience the essence of Italian viticulture in a special vintage.

    LIFE BEFORE...

Where possible, and especially with larger wine cellar purchases, the wine cellars of the previous owners tell us a lot about the storage conditions of the wines. A professionally managed wine cellar usually guarantees perfect storage conditions for the wines. We acquire our wines exclusively from reputable, mostly private wine collectors.

    HIDDEN FEATURES

Many high-quality wines today feature various security features for authentication, such as markings that only become visible under UV light. We check and compare all purchased wines for these features using an extensive database, and if there is even the slightest doubt, we reject the wine.

    THE DETAILS MATTER

We examine wine labels under a microscope to determine their quality, and we check the printed image for any peculiarities that are typical for a particular winery, wine, or vintage. We draw on a large image database to identify any anomalies.

    COLOR MAKES THE DIFFERENCE

Last but not least, we also examine the wine's composition. Color, turbidity, sediment, and the bubbles in a champagne reveal a lot about the wine's or champagne's condition and potential drinking pleasure.
