    Luigi Pira Barolo Marenca 2012

The Luigi Pira Barolo Marenca 2012 is an exceptional wine that reflects the quality and tradition of the renowned Luigi Pira winery. The winery, known for its passion and meticulous craftsmanship, produces wines that perfectly capture the terroir of the Langhe region. The 2012 vintage was characterized by ideal climatic conditions, which lend this Barolo impressive depth and structure. This wine impresses with its complex nose, with notes of ripe berries, violets, and subtle spicy notes. On the palate, it is elegant, with silky tannins and a lingering finish. Optimal drinking maturity is expected between 2022 and 2032, allowing for several more years of aging.

A tasting note: The Luigi Pira Barolo Marenca 2012 impresses with its harmonious balance of fruit, acidity, and tannin. The delicate aromas of cherries, rose petals, and a light mineral note make it a fascinating companion for special occasions. This wine is a true discovery for lovers of powerful yet elegant wines, whose complexity only reveals itself in the glass. For a perfect food pairing, we recommend classic Italian dishes such as truffle risotto, braised beef, or aged hard cheeses. Experience a piece of Piedmontese wine craftsmanship with this Barolo and savor every sip.

    LIFE BEFORE...

Where possible, and especially with larger wine cellar purchases, the wine cellars of the previous owners tell us a lot about the storage conditions of the wines. A professionally managed wine cellar usually guarantees perfect storage conditions for the wines. We acquire our wines exclusively from reputable, mostly private wine collectors.

    HIDDEN FEATURES

Many high-quality wines today feature various security features for authentication, such as markings that only become visible under UV light. We check and compare all purchased wines for these features using an extensive database, and if there is even the slightest doubt, we reject the wine.

    THE DETAILS MATTER

We examine wine labels under a microscope to determine their quality, and we check the printed image for any peculiarities that are typical for a particular winery, wine, or vintage. We draw on a large image database to identify any anomalies.

    COLOR MAKES THE DIFFERENCE

Last but not least, we also examine the wine's composition. Color, turbidity, sediment, and the bubbles in a champagne reveal a lot about the wine's or champagne's condition and potential drinking pleasure.
