Moët et Chandon Brut Imperial [Nebuchadnezzar - 15l] delights as a champagne that represents the expertise of Moët & Chandon in Épernay in a grand format. The Brut Imperial embodies the typical style of the house: freshness, fine structure, and elegant accessibility, here in a 15-liter Nebuchadnezzar – ideal for festive celebrations, large events, and anniversaries. The uniqueness of this format allows for a particularly slow, mature development of aromas and persistent effervescence – an experience that clearly stands out from standard bottles. Critics such as Falstaff, Parker, Jancis Robinson, Jeff Leve, and Winespectator regularly highlight this balance, clarity, and longevity of the champagne profile.

In tasting, the champagne presents itself with a pale golden appearance and fine, persistent effervescence. The nose unfolds brioche, yellow fruit, citrus aromas, and a delicate floral note; on the palate, it is fresh, well-structured, and creamy, with notes of green apple, quince, and a subtle almond nuance. The finish is long, elegant, and well-balanced, with minerality supporting the fruit.

Food pairing recommendation: This champagne pairs equally well with oysters, scallops, or sushi as it does with light fish dishes or asparagus with lemon. The large format is particularly suitable for festive occasions where champagne takes center stage and guests are accompanied by generous pleasure.

    LIFE BEFORE...

Where possible, and especially with larger wine cellar purchases, the wine cellars of the previous owners tell us a lot about the storage conditions of the wines. A professionally managed wine cellar usually guarantees perfect storage conditions for the wines. We acquire our wines exclusively from reputable, mostly private wine collectors.

    HIDDEN FEATURES

Many high-quality wines today feature various security features for authentication, such as markings that only become visible under UV light. We check and compare all purchased wines for these features using an extensive database, and if there is even the slightest doubt, we reject the wine.

    THE DETAILS MATTER

We examine wine labels under a microscope to determine their quality, and we check the printed image for any peculiarities that are typical for a particular winery, wine, or vintage. We draw on a large image database to identify any anomalies.

    COLOR MAKES THE DIFFERENCE

Last but not least, we also examine the wine's composition. Color, turbidity, sediment, and the bubbles in a champagne reveal a lot about the wine's or champagne's condition and potential drinking pleasure.
